Time of Wonder Montessori School was established in September 2008. For the school year September 2013 to June 2014 we will run the following programs:
- Morning Montessori 9.00am - 12.00pm
- Afternoon Montessori - 12.15 - 2.30pm (Wednesdays and Thursdays only)
Aoife Brosnan, BA, MCIS, Diploma in Montessori is the Director and the class is also taught by Montessori trained teachers.
School Information
The School is located in Little Island, Cork convenient to the surrounding suburbs of Midleton, Glanmire, Glounthane and Carrigtwohill. We are very fortunate to operate our school from a purpose built facility offering a bright classroom, underfloor heating and a large outdoor space.
Montessori Program
Our Montessori program has been developed using the Montessori method of education. We offer the five main areas of Montessori; Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths, Language and Culture. We also incorporate into our program the following activities: yoga, cooking, arts and craft and music and movement to give the children a balanced morning of activities. This program is open to children age 2.5yrs - 5yrs and the child must be potty trained.

3 sessions 220per month
2 sessions 160 per month
Afternoon Montessori Session
2 sessions €115 per month

Philosophy
Time of Wonder Montessori School has a global philosophy always striving to incorporate elements from its immediate environment and around the world. Children plant bulbs in the Autumn, vegetables in the Spring and enjoy an ever changing nature table in the classroom. Children study Continents and stories about children from around the world. Children mix with children from other countries and learn about each other. We celebrate festivals from around the world and learn about our own countries unique geography and history.
